I went to Florida last week and stayed at my grandparent's house. There wasn't much to do or go around there beside a few stores about 25 mins away like Target or Home Goods. I spent most of the days at the pool, learning some secret yummy recipes, and just enjoying the seventy something weather.
The backyard was the perfect place to read Pride and Prejudice and enjoy some ice cream.
This is how I cooled off.
Pretty Florida sunset.
The extent of my shopping in Florida's Home Goods or just in Cape Coral period.
My grandparents grow their own avocados, tomatoes, eggplants, etc.
Before I left, I had bought a few new things that just happened to all have bow details. I just love how fun and feminine they are! I also took some other random photos.
Belt:Anthropologie, Gold Cuff: Calypso, Shorts: Zara, Cuff: Tia's Place
This was taken at the Hoboken Art's Festival over the weekend. Extremely hot and humid weather, but definitely worth seeing the art vendors and festival food!

Summer/Spring Exchanges
I know I've been blogging a lot about what I want for the Spring/Summer and a friend of mine and I decided to join our forces and pick our own as well as each others' must haves for the season. You can check out what he picked out for me by looking at his blog at www.saturated-fat.blogspot.com.
Here are my picks for myself.
HELLOOOO Tie Dye! I have always liked tie dye especially since I think it's the perfect print that absolutely resembles Spring/Summer. This dress by Ostwald Helgason has such a great combination of both the dye and bright colors.
In keeping with the same color scheme, I picked this really pretty orange Rachel Comey wedge sandal. I am in search for both summer sandals and oxfords and I found this shoe that has both! I do have to say, her shoes are the most comfortable footwear I've ever worn.
Who needs short shorts?! I do! I'm tired of just buying basic shorts and want something a little more special. I found these pleated culottes by Suno which kind of reminds me of fourth of July with the great fire works print on the side of the shorts.
Printed leggings are also on my list for what I want this season. I know florals are really in trend, however I really like these by Ostwald Helgason because it has such a unique print that isn't girly as ones that I've been seeing.
Now I have been searching for a cuff forever and couldn't find one until now. This one is by Fleet IIlya and I love it!
My Picks for my fellow friend blogger, Chad from Just a Little Bit Fat
So the following are the items I picked for my friend Chad and he was looking for tassel shoes, a big printed bag, printed shorts, slouchy top and a printed scarf.
I picked these shorts by Opening Ceremony because it has such a fun cloud print and I know he loves to have his hem line to be wayyy above his knees.
This Paul Smith scarf would be so great for the Summer with the bright color scheme!
So one thing about my friend....he LOVES the color orange and shoes. Who doesn't love the citrus color? These Paul Smith Marcello Loafers are perfect!
Ed Vichy Tote Bag in this all over black and white gingham print is really eye catching which I know Chad will like since it's one of his most favorite prints and will not be too overbearing against his outfits.
Finally the last item is this slouchy feather wrapped cardigan from Urban Outfitters. There's something unique about this top because of this draped silhouette and he will be able to change the look with pairing it with various under shirts.

It's Just a Song Away
Another beautiful day to be outside and yet again, I am stuck doing some work. Fortunately, I am able to take my work anywhere I go so I packed up my laptop and my other necessary crap to Starbucks. I also took a little detour to a drug store to check out a few amenities: chapstick and cosmetics. I hope you all are enjoying the sun before the rain starts up again!

Not Just a Hot-Oil Treatment
Coming from the harsh winter weather, some ultimate hair repair is definitely needed! I don't know if any of you notice, but sometimes the transition from winter to spring/summer can make your scalp a bit dry and even flaky. The texture of your hair may be rough or brittle. It's basically telling you....I need HELP. Not to worry, I have found help. Here are a few of my favorite products to restore the moisture not only in my hair, but also in my scalp.
I know that not everyone has time or perhaps patience to do a hot-oil treatment. So, I have the next best thing which is ELC Esuchen Pure Olive Shampoo and Conditioner. This is honestly the best duo I have come across thus far since it too acts as a conditioning agent on the scalp without having to take an extra step in my daily regime. The products lock in moisture from the olive oil and you can immediately feel them nourishing and thickening your hair. I have used Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Head & Shoulders, Nioxin, etc. and I have not felt as much moisture as I felt with ELC products. Also, they don't leave your hair oily. This shampoo and conditioner are perfect for those like me who are constantly under the influence of a hair dryer, flat iron and curly iron.
Like I mentioned, my hair is always under the heat. So, in order to protect my hair and keep it from being damaged, I apply the Garnier Fructis anti-frizz serum Sleek and Shine before I flat iron my hair. Flat ironing will basically suck all of the moisture out of your hair and can make it brittle which can cause split ends. Putting on this product will prevent that and keep the hair nice and healthy.
This next product, G2B Smooth Operator, is what I apply after flat ironing my hair. It locks in the moisture from the Garnier Fructis serum and smooths all the fly-aways leaving the hair looking silky and shiny.
If sleek and straight is not your thing and big and sexy is, try this root booster Catwalk from TIGI. Spray it on damp hair only along the roots, work it into your scalp with your fingers and then blow dry with a round brush. For some extra volume, you may want to tease the roots and use hair spray after to support the hold. This product is great for both fine and coarse hair.

What I Want: Citrus Colors
I am so in love with citrus colors for this Spring and Summer! I know how much I've mentioned my obsession with color, but I especially like bright greens, oranges and yellows. Here are some of my must have items for the season.

Spring is Almost in the Air!
Helloooo Brights! I am absolutely in LOVE with color and I've always incorporated it to my style, especially makeup. Here are some of my favorite beauty products for March.
MAC's Liberty of London collection is fun, flirty and playful. The packaging alone screams Spring with its colorfully drawn flowers and the makeup comes in the most vibrant hues. Currently, this is my favorite shade, Petals & Peacocks, of pink for this season. It packs so much pigment and is the perfect pop of color.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes waterproof eyeliner pencil in Blue with Green Highlights 12L is a great complimentary color to bring out those brown eyes. It stays on your eyelid forever and does NOT smear at all which is great for those who have oily skin.
LoLLIA's scent in Imagine is a light and pretty fragrance that has the perfect balance of citrus, floral and powder together.
In the midst of all these bright products, I've also thrown in a neutral eye shadow, MAC's Quarry, which works well with the Make Up For Ever eyeliner and other colored eyeliners. It's a taupey purple color that blends naturally with my skin color, but still gives a hint of color.
Looking for a new nail polish? This Sally Hansen one in The Real Teal is awesome for Spring and has a hint of gold sheen mixed into the teal.
